General surgeons are dedicated to the diagnosis and surgical treatment of diseases involving many of the body systems including the lungs, breast, abdomen, colon and blood vessels. At AP&S Clinic, our surgeons work in collaboration with other physicians to develop a plan of care specific to your needs.  In order to individualize your care, additional diagnostic testing may be ordered such as CT scans, X-ray, ultrasound and nuclear imaging.

On the initial consultation, the surgeons will thoroughly review your past and present medical history.  Some minor surgeries which are well tolerated under local anesthesia may be done in the office on the initial visit. 

Our general surgeons are skilled at many laparoscopic procedures which are minimally invasive.  These minimally invasive procedures require smaller incisions, which decrease the potential for bleeding, reduce post-operative pain and result in a faster recovery rate.  Many of the surgeries listed below can be done on an outpatient basis.
